The purpose of the Emergency Response Plan is to provide guidelines to prepare for potential crisis or emergency situations. We want to ensure all exhibitors are provided with important information and proper communication during an emergency.
Exhibitors should report any suspicious activity as soon as possible to the Loews Sapphire Falls Security immediately, and describe specifically what you observed, including: who or what you saw, when you saw it, where it occurred and why it's suspicious. |

It is important to stay calm when reporting an incident. Give your name, location and specifics involving the emergency. Stay on the phone until you're directed to hang up. The Loews Sapphire Falls Resort has 24-hour security coverage. |
The resort has 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week security coverage to assist our resort guests. Security Managers can also be reached 24 hours a day/7 days a week through our Communication Center at *111 on any house phone or (407) 503-9124. |
Fire Protection: Fire Extinguisher Locations: Fire Extinguishers are strategically located throughout the property. For example, in every meeting room and directly outside of every meeting room, near each door, there is a fire extinguisher. On all the guest floors at the end of each corridor, there is a fire extinguisher. Fire Alarm Locations: There is a smoke detector in every guest room, meeting room, corridor, stairwell, etc. A Security Officer at the Security Office monitors the Fire Panel 24 hours. There are also multiple pull stations and public area smoke detectors as well. First Aid: Security controls the distribution of first aid services and supplies. Security maintains first aid response bags at the Security Office, Rooms Control, Security Van, and Bike Officers patrol with a few simple supplies (band-aids, etc.) on their bikes. Defibrillator Locations: There is an AED located at Rooms Control behind the front desk, The Fitness Center, The Security Office, and the trauma bag located at the main Lifeguard stand at the Pool Deck. Non-Emergency Medical Facility In Room Care: The closest non-emergency medical facility to our hotels is The Medical Concierge, located approximately 1.9 miles from the hotel at 6000 Turkey Lake Road. Office hours are 10:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday. To schedule an appointment, call 407-648-5252 or on-line at http://www.themedicalconcierge.com/. The Medical Concierge physicians are also available for house/hotel calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week (including holidays). Also nearby is an urgent care clinic, Care Spot. Located approximately 3.2 miles away at 2555 South Kirkman Road. Care Spot is open from 8:00am-8:00 pm daily. Call 407-362-2030. Emergency Medical Facility: For medical emergencies, Dr. P. Phillips Hospital is located 5.3 miles south of our hotels on Turkey Lake Road. The hospital phone number is 407-351-8500. |
In the Event of an Evacuation: In the event, it becomes necessary to evacuate the hotel: Notification: There will be an audible announcement along with flashing strobe lights. What to do: Follow the instructions of the hotel staff and proceed to the nearest emergency exit or stairwell. Follow the evacuation route out of the hotel to the designated evacuation area. Where to go and what to do: Exit to the designated evacuation area. Please inform a hotel staff member if you require medical assistance. How you can help: Assist injured persons until they can receive medical attention. Help account for persons you are traveling with. Stay calm and await further guidance. In the event it becomes necessary to shelter in-place within the hotel: Notification: There will be an audible announcement throughout the building indicating the need to seek shelter. What to do: If you are in your room, stay there. Shelter inside the bathroom. If you are in a public area, follow the instructions of the hotel staff and proceed to the nearest emergency refuge area. If the emergency is weather related, that refuge area may be in the meeting spaces away from windows. Where to go and what to do: Once in the refuge area, secure it if possible. Await further instructions from the hotel staff or responding law enforcement/emergency services. Inform a hotel staff member if you require medical assistance. How you can help: Assist injured persons until they can receive medical attention. Help others stay sheltered until assistance arrives. Stay calm and await further guidance.
